James Cameron talks about the Avatar sequel. Avatar is the biggest blockbuster movie of all time. And now get ready for a sequel of Avatar-biggest movie of all time. James Cameron has confirmed plans for a follow-up to Avatar at a technology forum in South Korea. The filmmaker expects the sequel to take three years to make-18 months less than it took the first.
"I'm going to be focusing on the ocean on Pandora, which will be equally rich and diverse and crazy and imaginative, but it just won't be a rainforest," Cameron said.
Talking to a panel of tech experts at the Seoul Digital Forum, the director also said he believes 3-D will replace 2-D as the standard format for film and television in less than 25 years. Cameron compared the current rise of 3-D to the introduction of sound and colour in movies.
Avatar has earned more than $3 billion at the box office worldwide. And now we cant wait for the sequel.
