Even if you don't care about who wins at the Emmy Awards, you might be intrigued by what celebs wear to one of the most star-studded events of the Hollywood calendar. And while it's fun to ooh and ahh over the beautifully dressed actors and actresses, it's way more fun to snicker at the red carpet shockers.

We've collected some of the most offensive examples from recent years in our gallery — looks so offensive you wonder why the ladies wearing them ever dared to leave their house. Please click below to see the pics.

Women in their 40's

The September issue is serious business in magazine land. Who's hot and who's not? Just take a look at the covers. Interestingly none of the usual 20 somethings feature on US cover for next month, and the in crowd is all aged over 40. The most prestigious covers are VOGUE, HARPER'S BAZAAR & ELLE, which feature Halle Berry, 44 above Jennifer Aniston, 41 & Julia Roberts, 42.

''They are the ones with real style, real staying power, real beauty.'' Seymour told New York's Daily News. ''As the American population continues to grow older, everyone can relate better to a woman with a little wear on her tyres.''

Julia and co probably wouldn't appreciate the comparison to rubber treads, since it's hard to see any signs of wear.

Atleast these actresses are visible unlike 40 something women of previous generations.

Jennifer Aniston recreates some of Barbra Streisand's most iconic photos for US Harper Bazaar and she got the approval seal from the great lady. Jennifer Aniston has recreated iconic portraits of Barbra Streisand from What's up Doc? and Funny Girl for the September issue of US Harper Bazaar.

'' If only she had a bump on her nose,'' Streisand wrote on her website. Otherwise, the screen icon was ''very flattered'' with the tribute.

Aniston said she'd had a lot of fun with the shoot. '' Look, you're dressing up in wigs and costumes and going into this beautiful theatre in downtown Los Angeles and her voice is booming through the speakers,'' she said.

''And you get chills. I'm always uncomfortable in photo shoots because that sort of thing is not my career, it is not  my profession. So it was sort of fun to play a character like that.''

Like her idol, Aniston, who is promoting new film ''The Switch'' (out in August 20), hopes to get behind the camera.

'' I really am chomping at the bit to do that next,'' she said.

The Wedding Of Robbie Williams & Ayda Field

Robbie Williams has released the first official photos from his wedding to Ayda Field to Hello! magazine.

Looking dapper in a classic tux, Robbie looked the picture of marital bliss - an encouraging sight to see considering he has spent much of the last decade battling addicition and depression.

"Ayda looked the most beautiful girl in the world," Robbie said of his bride on their wedding day.

"The setting was so magical and to be surrounded by family and close friends and then see Ayda appear looking so radiant was almost too much for me to take. I'm the happiest man alive. "She makes me want to be a better person. And in the process, I have become a better person."

In the article, Robbie revealed they swapped out having human bridesmaids - replacing them instead with Robbie's eight dogs. “The only thing that’s traditional about the wedding is the vows. No hen party, no bachelor party, no wedding showers,” he said. “Our doggies are taking the bridesmaid roles!" Ayda confirmed. "I was originally thinking little bow ties for them, but instead they’re going to each have flower collars.”

Their 60 wedding guests had been told they were attending a James Bond-themed party and apparently flipped when they saw the couple decked out in wedding gear. Robbie also treated everyone to a rendition of his hit 'Angels' - how Paris Hilton of him!
